What is GOST R
certification?

GOST is the Russian word for "norm", and R stands for Russia. For most products,

certification is needed if you wish to sell them in Russia. The main products concerned

are materials in contact with food and human beings; industrial equipment for food, chemical, oil & gas, construction and

other industries; mechanical and electrical goods. Also concerned are consumer products such as foodstuffs, textiles and

clothes, cosmetics and perfumery, domestic goods and toys. The certificate can be valid for a one-time-only shipment or

Gost-Gost-r certificates

The GOST GOST--R Certificate of Conformity (CoCs) is the basic prerequisite for product entry into the Russian Federation, and is required for a wide range of goods in the following categories:

a. Food, foodstuff and related products, including animal feed, etc.

b. Consumers goods, including electrical goods, home appliances,

clothing, perfumes and cosmetics.

c. Industrial machinery & equipment, spare parts, etcGOST GOST--R CertificateR Certificatemay be issued either for a single shipment (1), or a specific classification (typeapproval) of product (2).Usual duration of Gost-R Certificate'svalidity is as follows:11-no expiration date, valid for one identified shipment2 -valid for one or three years; may cover many shipments withoutquantity limitation
