The certified product must be marked with the registered GOST R sign (or Mark of Conformity). This clearly demonstrates that the product complies with the applicable Russian standards. The Mark consists of a logo representing the GOST R certification system (see below) combined with the Certification Body registration number (2 letters and 2 numbers) printed below logotype. FAQ Are all products concerned? Not all goods need a GOST R certificate; some are exempt. Our local Russian experts can advise you on which of your products need it. They can also help you to obtain the necessary certificates with a minimum of delay. What happens if my products are exempt? Even if the product to be imported is not subject to mandatory GOST R certification, an importer or exporter can present a GOST R Release Letter to prove that this product type does not require mandatory GOST R certification. This formal confirmation may be requested by Russian customs authorities during customs clearance. It can also be used as a powerful marketing tool, because it independently confirms the quality or technical standard of your product.
